The Network Engineer I will assist with our managed-services program in providing daily support of physical, virtual, and wireless networks in a Cross-Domain IT infrastructure.

Consulting on additional projects during surge periods as necessary, the Network Engineer I is a key player on our team:
Working closely with end-users and third-party vendors to identify potential issues and fix existing physical, virtual, and wireless network problemsMaintaining and administering Juniper (80%) and Cisco (20%) computer networksDeploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless (Aruba) and related technologiesDeveloping documentation for existing networks and maintaining documentation for all new networks and changesActively tracking, documenting, and updating request and incident information in appropriate IT Service Management toolEvolving and maintaining load balancing (F5), Firewall and Security products under the network umbrellaInstalling and configuring computer network equipmentMaintaining network equipment and associated hardware, applications, services, and settingsAdministering routers, switches, and firewallsTroubleshooting fiber and wireless connectionsAnalyzing and remediating IP addressingSalary- $120,000 DOE

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a hybrid network environmentStrong Juniper networking skillset, proficient with CiscoStrong enterprise wireless experience (Aruba)Proficient knowledge of Switches, Routers and FirewallsFundamental knowledge of networking conceptsProven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skillsStrong communication, documentation, and teamwork skillsHands-on troubleshooting capabilitiesAbility to self-manage and consult clients at various locations

Clearance Requirement :
An active

Polygraph

is required for this role.

Additional Information:
On-call rotation as required
