- Drive truck to destination in a safe and efficient manner.
- Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete prior to arriving on the job. When loading, ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner. Obtain proper signatures as required. Deliver construction materials to job sites as instructed. Ensure proper entry of on-the-job information on the customer delivery invoices.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor and other teammates to ensure smooth and safe production.
- Maintain truck log, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
- May perform other related duties, such as lifting and moving of transported materials, or general construction labor as needed.
- CDL Driver Class A must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- 2 years prior driving experience in a commercial or construction setting is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification, or willingness to obtain.
