Every other weekend 3pm-11pm
The Neighborhoods at St.
Elizabeth is currently seeking a
Laundry Aide whose responsibilities are to provide adequate, clean linen to the residents while meeting all standards set forth for the laundry department.
The work schedule is flexible some Monday 3 p to 11 p, Friday and Saturday 7 am to 3 pm.
St.Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center provides a comprehensive array of individualized rehabilitation and nursing services, including short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, memory care and in-patient hospice care.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Empty laundry chute as necessary.
- Sort soiled linen in proper method adhering to all health department regulations.
- Distribute all soiled linen into washers.
- Operate machines at correct temperatures, water and chemical levels.
- Maintains daily soiled linen count.
- Transfer washed linen to dryer. Remove from dryers, fold, and count and fill carts with appropriate numbers.
- Clean all machinery on a daily basis and report any malfunctions to supervisor.
- Sweep and wet mop laundry floors daily.
- Handle all infectious linen for washing according to regulatory standards.
- Wash, dry, fold, hang and deliver all personal linen to floors.
- Deliver carts to floor at scheduled times. Fill closets on floors within linen. Keep linen in closets folded and neatly
- Some previous laundry experience in a health care environment is preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Some previous laundry experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Able to lift or push minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the
