Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate a van to transport passengers to designated locations
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the vehicle
  • Maintain cleanliness of the van interior
  • Provide excellent customer service to all passengers
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members

Experience:


  • General knowledge of public transportation programs
  • Familiarity with paratransit or limousine services is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary

Requirements:


  • Must have a valid Connecticut Public Service License Endorsement (PPE)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test made prior to hire
  • Drivers may be required to take an annual driving test must have clean driving history
  • CPR, AED and First Aid certification attainable within one year of employment

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
$18.10 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week

  • Van driver: 1 year (preferred)

  • Columbia, CT required)

  • Columbia, CT 06237: Relocate before starting work (required)
