Full-time: 8am - 5pm pm, Monday - Friday, + additional hours

Pay rate:
Annual Salary, based on skills and experience. 60-65k

Summary:

The Pre-Apprenticeship Program Manager reports directly to the Pre-Apprenticeship Program Director to implement, maintain, and sustain Junior Achievement of South Florida Pre-Apprenticeship programs.

As the Pre-apprenticeship Manager you will manage critical logistics and organizational tasks related to programs for 18-25 year old participants.

You will provide a consistent presence at the various training sites and serve JA internal and external customers. You will alsoteach students on a variety of topics including communication, teamwork, resume building and other workforce readiness skills. This is a salaried position and requires a flexible work schedule. The position may require early mornings and/or evenings and occasional weekends.

What you will do:
  • Develop and implement student recruitment plan/strategy to ensure annual growth and apprentice quality control.
  • Create, update and facilitate the preapprenticeship program curriculum for students (Teach and implement JA curriculum i.e. developing presentations, activities, ice breakers and overall program day runof days)
  • Plan, organize and implement all JA Pre-Apprenticeship Program days and activities.
  • Facilitate ongoing program evaluation and correction based on feedback from students, teachers, volunteers, and businesses (evals, surveys, pre/post test collection and evaluation)
  • Maintain CANVAS platform to ensure quality control meets ongoing growth plans (info, assignments, quizzes, surveys, syllabi, communication, employer input, VR Platform Integration, RAP input, etc.)
  • Develop matching matrix to ensure job placements are healthy and mutually beneficial.
  • Communicate with career speaker series volunteers, technical training instructors, and job site shadow hosts to build runofdays that meet programmatic requirements.
  • Communicate with participating employers to develop experiential program days that meet FLDOE requirements (42 Trips)
  • Communicate with Speaker Series volunteers to ensure content and presentations meet quality control standards and Florida Department of Education
  • Assist Program Director in managing and growing Preapprenticeship Program.
  • Assist Program Director in managing assigned areas of program budget without overages.
  • Work with Student Success Coach to identify JA Ambassadors to participate in the education of stakeholders, speaking engagements, and future recruiting efforts.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

What you will need:
  • Minimum of 3 years in curriculum development and teaching.
  • Minimum of 2 years in educational program management or related experience.
  • Strong ability to manage/prioritize/organize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional diligence, be thorough and demonstrate complete followthrough in the execution of the program development strategy.
  • Disciplined in personal time management, selfmotivation, accountable and responsible for personal performance and the performance of the JA Pre-Apprenticeship team.
  • Strong data analysis, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Innovative vision that recognizes how to develop and coordinate programs for continuous improvement.
  • Must work well in teams and under pressure.
  • Excellent people skills, solving challenges.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Preferred bachelor's degree: associate degree or equivalent education/experience required.
  • Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, and the Internet including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to pass a background check to work with youth.
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with the values of Junior Achievement of South Florida.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs., vision to include, ability to adjust focus, stand for extended periods of time.
