    Description
    We are a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional occupational therapy services to individuals across Alabama.

    We are committed to helping our patients achieve independence and improve their quality of life through personalized and evidence-based interventions.

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team.

    The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans, provide therapeutic activities, and assist patients in developing or regaining the skills necessary for daily living and functional independence.

    Provide guidance and support to patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, to promote independence and enhance quality of life.

    # Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed to facilitate patients' engagement in meaningful occupations and activities.
    # Monitor and document patients progress during therapy sessions, including objective measurements and subjective observations, and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
    # Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment planning.
    # Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and billing information in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

    Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) from an accredited program.
    # Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
    # Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Alabama.
    # Prior experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
    # Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
