Camp Little Marvels is seeking a reliable, creative, and organized Camp Director with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to lead the 2024 summer season The role involves managing staff, seamlessly overseeing day-to-day operations, and creating a fun-filled summer camp experience for kids ages 5-11.

Hours:

Camp begins Friday, June 7 and runs through Friday, August 23.

Hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but they may vary between the hours of 7:30 AM and 6 PM depending on the day.

Must be available for staff training and camp set-up May 30-June 6. Hours to be determined.


Requirements:

Must be an enthusiastic adult, at least 18 years of age, who enjoys working with children ages 5-11 years old.

Experience leading groups of children, prior camp experience, management, or leadership experience preferred. Experience with sports and/or arts preferred. Teachers encouraged to apply. Must be vaccinated for (at minimum) COVID, MMR, and Tdap.


Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for campers that fosters kindness and respect.
• Oversee the operations and activities of our summer camp program.
• Develop and implement camp experiences that align with educational standards and promote learning and fun.
• Train and supervise camp staff.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all campers and staff.
• Manage and organize camp materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camp activities, policies, and camper progress.
• Organize special events, field trips, and other activities to enhance the camp experience.
• Evaluate camp programs and staff performance to make improvements as needed.

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
