    We're Hiring a Childcare Assistant Teacher at YMCA!

    CHILDCARE ASSISTANT TEACHER

    $500 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

    Job Overview: If you're passionate about helping children grow and learn, this role is perfect for you! As a Childcare Assistant Teacher with YMCA, you'll be an essential part of the Before and After School Care team, supporting kids from kindergarten to 5th grade in various activities and skill development.

    This is a part-time position with morning and/or afternoon shifts available.

    Locations: Join our team at Kingston City Schools, Rondout Valley, New Paltz, Ellenville, Highland, and Marlboro School Districts.

    Hourly pay rate: Competitive hourly rates ranging from $14.25 to $16.00

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with Group Teachers and Site Leadership to ensure the well-being of every child, adhering to regulatory guidelines and YMCA standards.
    • Design and execute engaging learning experiences for children, fostering their development and growth.
    • Set a positive example through your behavior, emphasizing safety for all.
    • Support students in various activities, both individually and in groups, following the provided curriculum.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience working with children for 1-2 years.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Preferably experienced in areas such as art, homework assistance, music, sports, and games.
    • Required certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention, to be obtained post-hiring.
