Duties:


  • Serve as a Management Assistant with responsibility for a variety of technical support and administrative duties in support of management and the organization program functions.
  • Conduct analyses and studies of the activities and functions of the organization.
  • Using a computer and a knowledge of graphics generation techniques, prepares briefing charts ranging from simple word charts to complex charts with integrated graphics.
  • Responsible for the administration of the records, forms, and file management program.
  • Serves as a Government Purchase Cardholder.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience:
GS-06
One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) coordinating office visits, 2.) utilizing office automated systems to draft office memorandums and reports, and 3.) communicating office policies and procedures to the public inquiries.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Specialized Experience:GS-07** One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) compiling data, reviewing products for clear errors, and maintaining records as required; 2) knowledge of office automation systems to enter, search for, edit and extract data and processes and 3.) providing management support in areas to include budgeting, training, purchasing, supply management, and personnel administration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

    roficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
