  • Cleans and clears tables throughout the dining area.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, chairs, restrooms, and perimeter of building.
  • Clean/sanitize, empty trash, and sweep the dining area.
  • Helps manage Aztec Shops recycling program.
  • May interact with dining customers through answering questions, concerns, etc.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Observes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives.

Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.


REASONING ABILITY:


MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Requires the ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.


PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:

Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk/move, reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and move throughout the dining room for up to 8 hours.

Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS
Work is regularly performed in a dining room area that frequently exposes employee to cleaning compounds and chemicals. May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
