Salary Grade Essential Functions

  • Prepares and maintains employee records and other print and electronic documents related to employee hiring, position changes, departures, and more.
  • Ensures that all employee files, including those which are compliancerelated, are completed and stored with attention to detail and an exceptional level of accuracy. Ensures confidentiality and completeness of employee files.
  • Collects, verifies, and files employee paperwork, performs HRIS data entry, and corresponds with hiring managers, IT, Public Safety, and Payroll to support new employee onboarding.
  • Supports employee recruitment, including correspondence with hiring managers, position posting using the University's applicant tracking system, offer letter creation, background screening processing, and new hire paperwork completion.
  • Responsible for I9 verification, recordkeeping, and compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Facilitates new employee orientations when assigned.
  • Maintains up to date organization charts.
  • Responds to employment verification requests, seeking necessary approvals and documenting correspondence.
  • Coordinates logistics for inperson and virtual HR events, including training and informational sessions.
  • Drafts various written communications, including internal and external procedure documentation, and exhibits excellent writing and document formatting skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a human resources related field and/or 3+ years of professional experience working in a role with human resources related duties.
  • Understanding of human resources functions and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Commitment to working with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in a diverse and fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrialorganizational psychology or a related field and 1+ years of professional experience in a related field.

Work Hours

Monday-Friday, typically 8-4:30
