EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources, business administration, information technology or a closely related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of human resources best practices and principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and skilled using the internet for work related research.
  • Ability to maintain and foster a work environment centered on sensitive and confidential information/data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems concerning database records and communicate with coworkers and end users of the system.
  • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize within a fastpaced rigorous environment.
  • Must be an initiativetaker, able to work well independently, with little supervision.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with clients at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and discretion in providing administrative and technical support.
  • Ability to collect, compile and analyze data, assemble information, and prepare reports; and Ability to effectively interpret and communicate human resource policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides technical assistance and training to staff relative to data entry, reporting, and other topics necessary for data collection and the monitoring of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data.
  • Performs various data operations functions with specialized attention to the fact that information, decisions, or communication may be sensitive or confidential.
  • Implements data quality and data management processes, programs, and protocols to ensure the accuracy of Human Resource data for reporting.
  • Enters and reviews the entry of personnel actions and information into the HRIS to support all phases of the employment lifecycle.
  • Identifies data related issues and/or concerns and makes recommendations for resolution.
  • Assists with testing the HRIS for quarterly and intermittent patches and annual updates.
  • Assists in conducting weekly audits and reviewing the work of team members.
  • Supports the accomplishment of the Office of Human Resources' mission and objectives by completing diverse and complex administrative duties that support data management, data quality programs and employment functions.
  • Establishes and maintains strong, positive working relationships with all customers and staff to support the delivery of efficient and effective Human Resources services.
  • Implements processes and actions in alignment with standard operating procedures, administrative procedures, negotiated agreements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains day to day contact with the Office of Human Resources and other departments to meet required goals and critical deadlines.
  • Assists with developing and maintaining routine reports that are easily shared with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Maintains sensitive and confidential records, such as labor union membership data, compensation data and other personally identifiable information.
  • Analyzes data to identify areas where data collection may need to improvement, identifying patterns that can be used to facilitate corrections in data collection.
  • Utilizes all Human Resources information technology, to include various HRIS platforms, and adapts to modern technologies quickly; and Performs other duties assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard.

The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
