  • 2+ years of experience in technical support leadership roles, systems engineer, or systems development.
  • 2+ years of industrial / robotics maintenance with equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical fields
  • 2+ years technical troubleshooting, triaging, and prioritization of operational risks based on failure modes of automated equipment.
  • Ability to travel to various sites as needed, globally
  • Technical understanding of: robotics system components/controls, HMI components, control network components, motion control, and standard electrical components.
  • Experience in some or all of the following areas: Automated conveyors systems or controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, industrial PC literary, N.E.C.
As a Robotics Field Solutions Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for internal customers.

You will engage those customers to understand and triage their problems, collect and document the functionality and requirements of the solution they desire, transfer these artifacts to engineering teams, and manage the implementation of programs and solutions in the field.

You will balance business needs with technical constraints, striving to find the right solution for each customer while maintaining a strong focus on standards and supportability.

Interpreting, analyzing, and making inferences from key performance indicators, causal factors, and other datasets is critical.

The ability to build productive relationships with colleagues and customers at remote sites around the world will make you successful in this role, as will patience and a sense of humor.

You will frequently travel to various facilities in North America, and Europe.

Key job responsibilities

Manage relationships with field RME and Operations teams to drive reliability and performance improvement to robotic assets in the field.

  • Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills: the ability to use data analysis techniques to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with Customers, engineers, software development engineers other Technical Program Managers and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions based on customer feedback
  • Drive solutions to gaps between teams, processes and systems, supporting teams to reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective crossteam collaboration, too much friction in existing processes)
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for the given portfolio of assets, providing assessments of the performance gaps at sites, as well as possible solutions.
  • Contribute to and influence technical designs of fieldfacing solutions by systematically collecting customer feedback and translating to product requirements.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs to deliver the right support to field teams.
  • Maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes and implement process improvements or retraining to avoid future incidents.
  • Perform, utilize, and provide analysis to assess material handling system performance.
