Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for ASA and Chief Academic Officer, and with latitude for project management and decision making with university functional directors, the OneSIS Functional Director provides systemwide tactical leadership over functional areas supported within the OneSIS - including but not limited to: admissions, registration, curriculum management, advising, cross-registration, workforce and collaborative programs, assessment, and financial aid.

This includes communication with various functional groups to understand their key priorities and pain points, engaging with Ellucian to understand their product roadmaps to ensure PASSHE functional priorities are addressed by the solution set, advocating for functional challenges that need attention, problem solving alongside functional leads at the Institution and Ellucian product experts to identify solution options that are in the best interest of our faculty, staff and students and setting the overall strategic vision and direction from a business perspective.

The role will provide strategic leadership and will interact closely with the Chief Academic Officers, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Directors, Faculty Council and other senior leadership groups.

The role will also work closely with the Technology sponsor for the OneSIS as well as the Central Administration function for OneSIS (housed at Indiana University).

• Provide oversight for system planning and strategic priorities and activities for OneSIS functional areas, such as expanding student opportunity and outcomes, affordability and supporting faculty and staff in their mission to meet these objectives;
• Work with the Vice Chancellor to address systemwide strategy and policy as it relates to the functional areas supported by the OneSIS;
• Lead and support implementation of coordinated work around key systemwide goals, strategies, and activities to ensure they are implemented properly within the OneSIS environment;
• Serve as a visible and vocal strategic champion for the functional elements of OneSIS, addressing stakeholder concerns and ensuring functional risks and issues are being addressed;
• Work with the Vice Chancellor and governance groups to establish and communicate an annual set of strategic priorities for OneSIS to tackle from a functional perspective after consultation from various functional affinity groups that leverage OneSIS; ensure alignment with CAOs, CFOs and the ELG.
• Cross University Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with leadership at the Institutions and the System Office to plan, organize, manage and achieve shared vision objectives across functional areas supported by OneSIS;
• Lead, convene and facilitate the work of various functional workgroups and, in consultation with Vice Chancellor, serve as a liaison to existing work groups and leadership councils (such as CAOs) to ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned on OneSIS priorities and initiatives;
• Lead cross university, cross disciplinary groups as necessary in support of the integrated nature of the OneSIS platform;
• Work with the Vice Chancellor for the facilitation and leadership of the OneSIS Functional Governance Committee which oversees decision making over shared elements of the OneSIS platform.
• Academic Sharing
• Provide operational coordination and support for Institutions as they navigate the OneSIS platform so it is configured in a manner that enables students to view, enroll in, and receive financial aid for shared courses and have the credits transcripted. Trusted Partner with Institutions
• Serve as a trusted partner and advocate to institutional functional departments and senior leaders in enabling the most optimal use of the platform; sharing lessons learned, resolving issues and ensuring campus needs are understood and met;
• Provide assistance to universities with meeting their local needs as it relates to OneSIS configuration, Ellucian's responsiveness to those needs or opportunities for institutions to work together to creatively problem solve.
• Ongoing Program Management
• Serve as an escalation point for functional affinity groups who are having challenges or need assistance with creative problem solving on the OneSIS; track and resolve risks and issues;
• Transition the OneSIS from an active project implementation to a steady state program from a functional perspective by ensuring proper governance, oversight and risk management are in place as OneSIS transitions to steady state;
• Establish a regular cadence of updates from Ellucian to understand functional priorities and product roadmaps; ensures this information is distributed outbound to functional affinity groups;
