Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a
Reimbursement Specialist working remotely, with a preferred start date of June 1, 2024.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Reimbursement Specialist,

This role entails reviewing and resolving claim issues to ensure timely and accurate claim submission, including placing calls and using various portals to obtain missing information or determine claim status as necessary. Additionally, the role involves verbally challenging payer denials when coverage policy requirements are not applied to the claim. Reviewing medical records for key details, creating custom medical records and appeal cover letters, and making outbound calls to patients regarding patient consent appeal requirements are also key responsibilities. Effective communication of reimbursement details is crucial in this role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two years of health insurance billing with experience in identifying and resolving claim issues for procedures/tests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytics and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Typing speed of 30 or more words per minute, with 90% or greater accuracy.
  • One year minimum experience in a Reimbursement Specialist, role with one company.
