    JOB SUMMARY:
    Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern for our Plant in Orwell, Ohio. The Intern will work with Process Flow Creation and PFMEA.

    This will provide the intern with an opportunity to engage in manufacturing work cell flow and identify quality related risks for defects, failures as well as developing effective process controls to reduce risk.

    Will work directly with experienced Quality Engineers inside of the plant providing mentoring and coaching in real world environment.

    One of the main focuses of this role will be a problem-solving project for invoicing doors/fronts in KAAT (Kitchen at a time) to reduce missing scrap costs.

    This project will have a direct impact on reducing scrap costs to the business and will improve first pass efficiency in assembly.

    Interns will gain an Intimate understanding of a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing setting; Exposure to leadership and coaching; Satisfaction to see tactical efforts support a broader strategic goal.

    PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Process Flow creation and PFMEA/Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis for focused areas in the plantFocused Problem-Solving project for Invoicing Doors/Fronts in KAAT to reduce Missing Scrap CostCommunicate assigned projects effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner.

    Perform root cause analysis.


    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


    Junior or Senior status at an accredited university by Summer of 2024Pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of productsEffective written and verbal communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
    Pareto, Fishbone, 5-why problem- solving skills.
    Self-starter with ability to work in a group setting and independently.
    Comfortable multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
    Interest in Quality Engineer as a major.
    Excellent Communicator; organized; Ability to breakdown large concepts into tangible work streams.
