- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for our applications and services.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, with a focus on CIS benchmarks and CISA requirements.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure compliance measures are integrated into the development and deployment workflows.
- Implement SRE best practices for incident response, error budgeting, and service level objectives (SLOs).
- Implement security best practices in Kubernetes environments to meet compliance requirements.
- Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Implement cloud cost optimization strategies to minimize infrastructure expenses while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor and manage resource allocation to optimize cost-efficiency in Kubernetes environments.
- Drive automation initiatives across the infrastructure stack to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance operational capabilities.
- Must have a minimum of 4+ years experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor's degree, technical certification or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
- Proficiency and experience in the following:
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Scripting (Bash, GoLang, Python)
- Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Cogility Software is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in our Irvine, CA office. As a DevOps Engineer at Cogility Software, you will collaborate to design, configure, deploy and maintain the product through its lifecycle.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes-based solutions. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in compliance, cloud cost optimization, automation, and SRE methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Open to remote candidates. Must be willing to work core hours of 9 am PT - 3 pm PT.
If you are in the Irvine, CA area, then it will be a hybrid position. You must be able to come into the Irvine, CA office 2 days a week.
