Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a DevOps Engineer - Azure DevOps Migration Specialist. This is a 3-6 month contract opportunity based in Santa Ana, CA (Hybrid).

We are a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of technology, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in migrating from JIRA/SVN to Azure DevOps and adeptness in setting up Azure Boards, configuring permissions, and establishing robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Azure DevOps.
• Proven track record of successfully migrating organizations from JIRA/SVN to Azure DevOps.
• Experience setting up and configuring Azure Boards, including customizing workflows and defining work item types.
• Strong understanding of permissions management in Azure DevOps, with the ability to establish granular access controls.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML configuration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration process from JIRA/SVN to Azure DevOps, ensuring a seamless transition for the entire organization.
• Design and implement Azure Boards to effectively manage projects, tasks, and workflows.
• Configure permissions and access controls within Azure DevOps to align with organizational requirements and security standards.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their workflows and requirements, and tailor Azure DevOps accordingly.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using YAML configuration, automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Azure DevOps infrastructure, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Azure DevOps, providing guidance and training to development teams as needed.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies related to DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $80/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
