- Provide support for manufacturing or remanufacturing of UX Traction Motor Combo components for the facility
- Utilize manual and automated production equipment, various hydraulic, or pneumatic tools for completion of responsibilities in accordance with in-house manufacturing and quality procedures to ensure all products meet specified requirements
- Inspect work components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality and engineering requirements utilizing fixtures, precision measuring devices, and / or testing protocols
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
- Process components in compliance with internal processing requirements
- Work to improve 5S within work cell using continuous improvement and kaizen tools
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High-school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred
- Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes
- Must be willing to work in a tobacco-free environment
- Be willing to take a drug test
- Be willing to submit to random drug tests
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
- Must be willing to work as necessary to meet requirements of the position, including the ability to work occasional weekends and scheduled overtime
- Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies
- Ability to regularly lift and handle tools and materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use manual equipment and hand tools safely
- Working knowledge of inspection measurement equipment

Remanufacturing Technician
Compensation:
* $21.50/hr. with wage increase to $23.50/hr. in 6 months and to $25.50/hr. at 1 year of service.
* $1.00/hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Available Shifts:
1st shift: 5:30a.m. to 2p.m. Monday-Friday
2nd shift: 1:30p.m. to 10p.m. Monday-Friday
3rd shift: 9:30p.m. to 6a.m. Monday-Friday

Position Summary:
The Remanufacturing Service Technician will disassemble, assemble, clean, requalify, and rework operations on locomotive traction motor combo components utilizing manual and automated equipment in accordance with safe manufacturing and quality procedures.
The ideal candidate needs experience utilizing manual and automated production equipment, various hydraulic and pneumatic tools for completion. Someone who is mechanically inclined and has a background in auto, electrical and mechanical repair.
Also this candidate has one year of experience in the aforementioned or mechanical and/or electrical assembly, and loves working with their hands.
This is a true manufacturing environment, and our technicians are crossed trained to ensure a continuity of service.Responsibilities:
