National Account Manager:
Location: Down, Inc. Grand Rapids, MI

Reports to:
Director of Down, Inc.


Salary:
Starting at $70,000 per year


POSITION DUTIES

  • Manage the sales efforts to numerous key & national accounts across multiple distribution channels.
  • Prepare product assortments, complete price quotations, and communicate pricing to customers.
  • Supervise status of key account orders as they move through the production process to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Analyze new business opportunities for profit potential and strategic compliance to company's goals.
  • Gather and maintain vendor specification files to ensure Down Inc. meets the criteria established by key business partners.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows to promote & sell product.
  • Forecast sales for assigned accounts.
  • Analyze market trends; communicate the conditions as they relate to supply & demand, economic indicators, and competitive environment.
  • Effectively manage time and company resources in a responsible manner.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to effectively manage key & national accounts.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationships and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills required to analyze key account sales history and data, as well as the ability to forecast sales based strong account knowledge and experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skill set. In particular, the demonstrated ability to use Excel for analysis.
  • Selfmotivated, growthoriented and goal driven.
  • Must be able to effectively sell on factors other than price.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strategies and execute plans
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25 percent of the time, with multiovernight and seasonal peaks.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years of sales management to key or national accounts.
  • B2B selling experience is required.
  • Proven experience prospecting and developing new business relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies, plan and execute.
  • Previous experience in home/hospitality têxtiles, or home goods is a plus.
