Job Summary:
Design Catapult Manufacturing, Inc. produces products and systems that range from relatively simple fabricated items to more complex electro-mechanical and motorized medical devices.
The
Quality Assurance Manager is an integral part of our team.
The primary focus of this position is the development and management of the Quality Assurance department and Systems related to DCM's manufactured products.
Qualifications Education & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years supervising / managing a quality assurance department
- B.S Degree (engineering preferred) or significant equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success implementing Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001:2015; ISO 13485:201
- Experienced with a variety of mechanical and electrical test and measuring equipment
- Ability to independently produce process and quality related documentation
- Strong inspection background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to independently organize and lead teams and projects.
Duties, Authorities, & Responsibilities:
- Manage the QA department and staff
- Develop and manage incoming and inprocess inspections for various products, components and material finishes, including sheet metal, machined and manufactured parts and components, PCBA's and wire harnesses
- Drive improvements within the company and in the vendor supply chain
- Work with production and engineering to develop and implement the use of training materials and work instructions for staff
- Schedule and manage Internal Audits
- Manage the product certification process
- Develop, manage and improve the company's Quality Management System
- Investigate and resolve supplier, manufacturing and warranty issues
- Serve as the primary manufacturing / quality contact for customers
- Serve as the primary contact for thirdparty audits.
- Produce customer facing materials describing the company's quality and manufacturing systems and processes
- Final product disposition authority
