The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating power industrial trucks for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise.

The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties in addition to his or her own.

They are responsible for the accurate storing, shipping and receiving of product to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity.


Daily tasks:


  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
  • Inspects forklift equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, etc
  • Processes clear and accurate paperwork
  • Conveys material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated area
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Assembles customer order from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to the shipping department and may load material onto a truck.
  • Counts items to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
  • Marks materials with identifying information
  • Opens bales, crates or other containers if needed.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Records the amount of materials or items received or distributed
  • May use computer to enter records
  • Prepares parcels for mailing
  • Physically unloading containers by hand when needed
  • Conduct inventory when requested
  • Must be open to work all departments in the warehouse for support when needed
  • Must be able to list 50LBS
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested

QUALIFICATION:


  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Must have 2 years stand up reach. Must have 2 years cherry picker. Must have 2 years RF Experience.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have can do attitude in the work place

Job Type:


Salary:
$19.00 per hour in probation period (3 months)

$19.50 after probation period

  • 8 hour shift O.T. if required
  • Monday to Friday Rare but Saturday's if needed

Education:


  • High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Warehouse Forklift Operators: 2 years (preferred)

Pay:
$ $19.50 per hour
