- Utilize extensive mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, including but not limited to materials strength, machine design, manufacturing design, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, combustion, piping system design, and industrial controls.
- Employ a variety of analytical and design tools, such as hand calculations, spreadsheets, Mathcad, 2D and 3D modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Oversee projects from conception to completion, including the creation of product manuals, production Bill of Materials (BOMs), securing UL and ASME certifications, and supporting product launch activities.
- Manage the Product Development roadmap, ensuring clear communication of technology capabilities, market research, and feasibility studies to the Operations and Engineering teams.
- Implement robust project management methodologies to oversee projects from ideation to launch.
- Manage budgets, define and monitor milestones, produce status reports, and maintain open lines of communication regarding project updates and challenges.
- Direct a dedicated team of product development and test engineers, assigning tasks that play to each team member's strengths and addressing individual development needs.
- Support team members to ensure both team and individual objectives are met.
- Engage in regular communication and collaboration with internal teams and partner companies to ensure efficient and comprehensive project completion.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in working with thermal systems and industrial machinery, including knowledge of steel construction, piping and ducting, combustion systems, fans and pumps, and electrical controls.
- Proficiency in CAD and related engineering software.
- Demonstrated expertise in project engineering and management, with a proven track record of leading complex projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
- Experience in leading a team towards achieving common goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual with outstanding technical writing abilities.
- Prior experience with ASME BPVC design, UL standards, or similar is preferred.
