Information Security Manager
Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Manage Security Operations: Oversee all aspects of Security Operations, including monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
- Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures. Lead investigations into security incidents, coordinate response efforts, and ensure timely resolution.
- Threat Detection and Mitigation: Implement and manage security tools and technologies for continuous threat detection and mitigation. Stay updated with the latest threats and security trends.
- Security Monitoring: Establish and maintain a robust security monitoring program. Monitor security events, analyze logs, and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
- Security Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Security Awareness: Conduct security awareness training programs for employees to enhance security awareness and promote a culture of security.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and thirdparty partners to ensure the security of external systems and services.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits. Identify and prioritize security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of security professionals. Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance team capabilities and performance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends to senior management. Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, GMON) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST, PCI DSS).
- Experience in managing incident response, conducting security assessments, and implementing security controls.
