Description
Job Description
The Energetics Technology Center, Inc., in collaboration with the University of St. Thomas and the Army Research Laboratory, is looking for entry-level and mid-level engineers/scientists to assist a long-term project focused on expediting technology advancements in renewable energy. ETC is partnered with SYNCRIS to investigate technologies that can aid the Army in enhancing energy resilience and tactical self-sufficiency. This role is based at SYNCRIS in Bloomington, Minnesota.
We are in need of an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to a project that utilizes model predictive controls to establish autonomous grid-forming capabilities for seamless integration into existing modular inverters. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of control theory, system modeling, and optimization algorithms. Responsibilities for this role include developing discrete control algorithms for grid-forming using model predictive control (MPC) methods.
SYNCRIS originated from the vision of making clean and reliable energy accessible to the millions worldwide that lack electricity access. This vision led to years of research and development to create user-friendly technology that is simple to design, build, deploy, and upgrade. Central to our technology is a modular strategy akin to what enabled personal computers to replace centralized computers. Our focus is on simplicity, standardized building blocks, and scalability, aiming to make clean and reliable energy accessible to all.
