ABOUT THIS JOB:

As a member of the COR Health team, the Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) provides home and community based one on one support to children and youth with functional limitations and cognitive impairments with the goal of improving overall independence through teaching and maintaining developmentally appropriate skills.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and implement the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP
  • Collect data based on goal work; complete accurate and objective daily progress notes; submit all required documentation to the office in timely manner per company policy
  • Manage difficult situations and provide positive, appropriate interventions
  • Work with parents/guardians/families/natural supports in transferring effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to drive to client(s) locations within sixty (60) miles of your home residence
  • Safely provide and/or utilize transportation for client as indicated in the ITP
  • Research, access, and employ community resources
  • Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as a Mandated Reporter
  • Attend all trainings, including monthly individual and group supervisions as required by MaineCare regulations and company policy
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisor
  • Attend and participate in treatment team meetings, including ITP reviews, as deemed appropriate by Supervisor

SCHEDULE:
Weekday afternoons/evenings available


EDUCATION, LICENSE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:


  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance and registration
  • Must be willing to become BHP Certified (included in onboarding & orientation)
  • Become CPR/FA certified (included in onboarding & orientation)
