"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3.5-year apprenticeship program as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) for DB Cargo AG at our location in Seddin near Potsdam. The vocational school is located in Berlin-Spandau and the training workshop is in Berlin-Schöneweide.
What to expect in your workshop training:
  • You will become an expert in maintaining, repairing, and servicing our locomotives and freight cars, ensuring that our freight trains are always ready for operation.
  • You will focus on electronic systems, but also become familiar with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • You will learn how to program, install, and test modern hardware and software components.
  • You will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting errors and malfunctions.
  • You will learn how to expertly fix any issues.
