    Job Description Salary:


    Are you a recent electrical engineering graduate or a junior level Electrical and Instrument Engineer seeking a new challenge and an opportunity? If so, EIS may have the perfect opportunity for you We are currently seeking an E&I Engineer to learn the ropes and work with our senior level E&I Engineers.

    Candidate will be able to learn and work on Industrial Power Systems applications and with Arc Flash and Electrical System software.

    About the Position:
    Candidate will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

    Candidate must be able to collaborate and communicate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, process, and civil/structural), vendors, and clients.

    Assist lead electrical engineer in performing electrical engineering duties, including equipment sizing & specification and power system studies.
    Assist in development of wiring diagrams, schematics, cables schedules, and other drawings required for design.
    Assist lead instrumentation engineer in performing instrumentation duties, including sizing and specification of instruments.
    Check vendor documents and electrical & instrumentation documents being developed in-office.

    Candidate must be open to travelling to client sites including refineries and chemical plants to gather information pertaining to a project.

    Learn and apply relevant codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC) and various client standards.


    Required Qualifications:

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
    0-5 years of experience working in a refinery or chemical plant and/or with a consulting firm representing similar industries preferred
    Passed FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam is preferred.
    Candidate must be willing to work towards becoming a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Louisiana.


    Physical Requirements:
    Extended periods of desk work, including sitting and computer usage.
    Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when required.
