    Ciorba Group is currently in search of a Senior Construction Engineer who will handle the following responsibilities:

    • Oversee the inspection of local agency construction projects related to roadways and bridges, which are funded by local, state, and federal sources.
    • Prepare all construction documentation according to IDOT BLR&S requirements, utilizing CMMS or other detailed local agency-specific documentation.
    • Calculate and measure pay item quantities, create contractor pay applications, and supervise the preparation of construction record drawings.
    • Directly coordinate with the client by providing regular reports, organizing preconstruction meetings, and addressing project issues promptly.
    • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and engage positively with the public.

    Requirements for this position include:

    • 6 to 8 years of hands-on construction experience.
    • Illinois PE certification.
    • Proficiency in IDOT's Documentation of Contract Quantities.
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow through on-the-job training.
    • Experience with MicroStation is a bonus.
