PURPOSE:
To provide quality assurance and technical assistance to WRC Adult Day Program Vendors.
Will also plan and coordinate activities relating to evaluating the quality and effectiveness of
services provided to WRC clients. Will assist service providers to maintain and improve the
quality and effectiveness of services. Quality assurance monitoring of Adult Day Programs.
NATURE OF WORK:
The QA Specialist for Adult Day Programs will play a key role in Community Services Unit by
identifying and developing services to provide meaningful day activities/work opportunities for
the people we support at Westside Regional Center. The primary responsibilities of the QA
Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- To plan and develop requests for proposals (RFP) as needed.
- To coordinate RFP review and interview/selection of committees.
- To work closely with selected service providers in all aspects of program development.
- To coordinate Quality Assurance teams (composed of clients, parents, other family
provided in Adult Day Programs.
- To work with program and service providers to develop action plans for the
- To provide training to staff, clients, families and service providers on quality assurance
- To serve as Liaison to the Consumer Advisory Committee of the WRC Board of
- To coordinate the annual Westside Jam with the Consumer Advisory Committee.
- To contribute and promote to a fair and positive work environment as well as the

Educational Requirements and Skills:
- Requires a Master's Degree in Human Services and two years of responsible
developmental disabilities or a BA/BS Degree with two years; additional experience
may be substituted for the Advanced Degree.
- Requires familiarity with various standardized evaluation tools and instruments,
- Requires excellent writing skills, knowledge of community resources, the ability to

- Requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to consumers, families,

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will primarily be based in the office; however, remote work may also be
available.
