Job Title: Perioperative Technician, Operating Room at Parkwest

Operating Room: The facility boasts 30 Surgical Suites with expertise in various areas including orthopedics, cardio-vascular, robotics, gynecology, urology general, ENT, plastic, neuro, and vascular surgeries.

Position Summary: The role involves providing valuable support in para-nursing and housekeeping duties within the Operating Room, PACU, and PHA.

• Demonstrates proficiency in maintaining a sterile field.
• Displays proper techniques for patient transportation and safe positioning.
• Shows understanding of correct body mechanics.
• Demonstrates knowledge of various special patient positions.
• Recognizes and adheres to surgical prep requirements.
• Maintains cleanliness standards in the operating rooms and surrounding areas.
• Shows proper techniques for surgical skin preps and urinary catheterization.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety standards, engaging in continuous education and quality improvement activities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Will consider relevant work experience in lieu of formal education.

Minimum Experience: Entry level.
