Description

Performs a wide range of radiological, environmental, safety, and health work to achieve compliance with the Company's standards and with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure personnel and facility safety. Conducts trend analysis, audits, accident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials. Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazardous potential. Conducts employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs. Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; Required Certification-Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Industrial Hygiene.
Proficiency with Microsoft office software.
Ability to review data sets for injury/illness and deficiency tracking systems.
Ability to Identify and communicate safety and health trends.
