Responsibilities:


The Behavior Technician is responsible for providing in-home services to children with special needs under the management of the agency's Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director.

Behavior Technicians will provide Applied Behavior Analysis treatment (ABA), including behavior management, discrete trial training, pivotal response training, social skills, and parent education.

The Behavior Technician will follow through with the appropriate services as determined by the agency's Clinical Supervisor. Data will be collected using the accurate and appropriate data collection system throughout each session.

An indication of need to check for mastery and introduction of new programs into the program list to the Clinical Supervisor on each individual case.

The Behavioral Technician will attend family and team meetings as directed by the Clinical Supervisor. Quarterly staff meetings and professional development meetings are also expected to be attended. Any incidents and communications from the parents needs to be reported to the Clinical Supervisors and/or Clinical Director.

Lastly, the Behavior Technician will attend to other duties as assigned and/or approved by the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director.

Registered Behavior Technician training is provided to Behavior Technicians after their first 90 days in role.


Job Requirements:

You are able to maintain professionalism if and when a client aggresses, self-injuries, tantrums, screams, etc. Implement behavior modification strategies and discrete trial teaching under agency supervision.

Effectively communicate with others (clients, family members, agency staff, etc.) Be able to accept, follow, and implement direction from agency representatives.

You are creative, spontaneous, independent, and animated in your gestures, facial expressions, and voice interactions.

Finally, you can stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend over, crouch down, walk, and sit/play on the floor for an extended period of time.

Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance from another adult. Have reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle.
