    **JOB SUMMARY:**

    *BioCryst is a fast-growing pharmaceutical company with an immediate opening for an experienced Technical Support Specialist who can effectively support daily operations of both local and remote users, assist in supporting and managing the companys hosted, cloud-based and on-premise Infrastructure for information systems and services that support the entire, manage employee on-boarding/off-boarding activities and assist in the development of documentation and asset management processe. While BioCryst is a cloud-focused organization, on premise will be a large focus of this role. This is a full time on-site role for our Durham location. He or she will help ensure systems are compliant, supported, and achieve maximum value for the company.*

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Serve as Subject Matter Expert for guiding end-user computer builds.

    Ensure users are supported in the use of all baseline IT services e.g. laptop, mobile devices, Windows, Office, Teams, Zoom, conference room A/V systems, etc.

    Ensure that applications and systems are accessible and operate reliably.

    Support laboratory and instrument-based computers

    Assist in maintaining the methods, tools, techniques, and standards related to technology services.

    Stay abreast of emerging information technologies through research and testing.

    Assist in delivery or onboarding and offboarding services and documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

    Assist in developing and maintain IT guidelines, help article, and user training materials.

    All other duties as assigned.

    **EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:**

    At minimum of 2 years of experience providing support for information technologies and services in a corporate environment is required, preferably within the Life Sciences industry.

    Associate Degree in business or technology discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

    Experience in working with third party providers and vendors (MSPs, printer techs, etc.).

    Knowledge of the management of cloud-based environments.

    Experience with computer imaging systems

    Skill in planning, managing, and delivering of technical solutions.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and will be an effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

    Ability to work as part of a team and as a contributing member of the company.

    Experience with the following:

    End-Point protection and management

    Office 365 and all related services/applications

    Wide-area networking and LAN concepts

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, moving computing equipment and work on-site
