    Shift:
    Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (shift varies and subject to change)


    Pay:
    $22.00/hour


    SUMMARY:


    Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems associated with specific production machines or building equipment.

    Maintain parts inventory.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must have experience with building maintenance.
    • Must have PLC experience.
    • Must have forklift experience.
    • Determine working condition of mechanical devices by observing such devices in operation, by listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble and through the use of voltmeters, ohmmeters, manifold gauge and pressure gauges.
    • Continue the evaluation process as necessary by dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
    • Repair or replace defective parts or create parts through the set up and operation of a mill, drill press, grinder or other metalworking tools.
    • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
    • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
    • Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
    • Perform routine maintenance through lubrication and cleaning of parts or machinery.
    • Verify acceptable machine operation by starting the device to test performance.
    • Maintain preventive maintenance records by entering all information related to a repair or maintenance occurrence.
    • Adjust, repair and/or replace electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
    • Design or recommend improvements on equipment breakdowns.
    • Maintain parts inventory through regular review of in-house stock and initiate reorders by presenting order to Supervisor.
    • Support outside vendors on technical adjustments by communicating or working with the vendor on equipment installation or repairs.
    • Assist equipment operators in understanding the maintenance requirements as well as safety and operational procedures of various equipment and machinery.
    • Maintains own hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. as well as specialty tools such as large sockets, bolt cutters, etc.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience
