    Description

    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Company: Example Building Services

    Position Summary: Join our team as a maintenance technician responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing building fixtures. You'll handle tasks like lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, floors, gutters, and drains while ensuring the building is safe and properly taken care of.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Perform routine preventive maintenance for efficient building systems
    • Conduct carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
    • Clean and repair various building fixtures
    • Operate and maintain HVAC equipment
    • Other assigned duties

    Requirements

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Understanding of maintenance requirements and safety regulations
    • Familiarity with electrical and plumbing codes
    • Knowledge of OSHA and local safety requirements
    • Effective communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Familiarity with company policies and procedures
    • Time management and prioritization skills
    • Self-motivated and detail-oriented

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED Required
    • Previous relevant experience

    Travel Requirements:

    • Travel required within designated areas

    Working Conditions:

    • Outdoor work environment
    • Overtime may be necessary

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Physical demands include standing, reaching, using hands for tasks, inputting data, and talking. Sit-down activities like processing information are also part of the role.

    ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

    The work setting is indoors with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, or noise extremes.
