What you'll do:


The incoming receiver position is responsible for eliminating rework and unwanted downtime due to purchased product quality issues by inspecting incoming parts for Utilimaster' s various product lines.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Utilize various measurement equipment and tools to perform a complete inspection of specified parts, prior to releasing the part to production
  • Document, communicate, and lead activities to resolve issues needing immediate containment or rework activities.
  • Drive measurable improvements through training and process improvements.
  • Work with Manufacturing Supervisors, Engineering, and Quality to resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects for the Receiving Inspection Process.
  • Assist in the review and updating of Work Instructions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Support 5S in work area
  • Solve complex problems with mínimal assistance.
  • Performs all other duties and or meetings as assigned by Supervisor.

What you need to be successful:

  • Excellent Attendance
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong and consistent attention to detail
  • Experience utilizing measurement test equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers).
  • Team oriented
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of current quality process, preferred
  • Expected to:
  • Read and understand Engineering documents and drawings
  • Work overtime on short notice
