Job DescriptionThis position is for Stevens students currently enrolled. Must have a fulltime status. Bachelors Degree required. This is a part-time position.
- _ Work very closely with the Office Manager & other office staff to ensure the office is always open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM during the days on duty._
- _ Assist with faculty members _& student cohorts_ if they have any questions, help, or concerns._
- _ Sign up for mail and package/devices delivery and inform the faculty/staff immediately._
- _ Answer queries raised by faculty members or students or anyone visiting the department._
- _ Proactively contact the office staff whenever it is needed._
- _ Handle the delivery to/from the department and answer the phone calls._
- _ Go to admin to issue work orders (like water issues) etc. and monitor through its logical next steps._
- _ Report to the admin if the lab equipment supply is low and requires attention._
- _ Student employees_ are expected to handle themselves in a business-like manner when dealing with faculty, staff, visitors, and students_
- _ Student employees are expected to report to work on time and alert their supervisor that they are reporting for work._
- _ Other_ _responsibilities_ _as assigned by the office manager and office staff._
- Additional support for department_
- Assistance with coordinating and scheduling meetings and events (i.e., oversee room bookings, coordinate catering, and oversee any A/V needs or additional materials._
- _ Coordinate any necessary remedies needed for the office with facilities._
- _ Assist with Collaborating with other academic and administrative units on relevant matters and external constituents, as needed._
- _ Assist the Department Chair on other administrative tasks, as needed._
