Mason (m/f/d) at Zettler:

Duration: 3 years

To start off by breaking down a wall: As a mason, you won't just be building walls. You will create masonry structures from artificial and natural stones and learn how to plaster interior and exterior walls. You will also learn how to work with concrete and assemble prefabricated building elements. You will become familiar with all other modern building materials and learn how to protect buildings from moisture and reduce heat loss. With your craftsmanship, you are indispensable as a mason from laying the foundation stone to completing a new building.

What to expect:

For you, this means constantly facing new tasks on different construction sites. There, you will work together with other craftsmen, architects, and construction managers. The simplest task is still building a single-layer wall, but things get really exciting when creating solid floors or exposed masonry.

What you need:

You need a lot of technical understanding, as during your training you will already be creating construction drawings and implementing laying plans. Nothing can go wrong with you, as you need good spatial imagination.

Required school leaving certificate: At least a good qualifying middle school leaving certificate
