Responsibilities:
Estimation:
- Utilize industrystandard software and techniques to accurately estimate the cost of commercial landscape projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate project requirements, constraints, and opportunities.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project scope and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed proposals and cost breakdowns for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all project estimates.
Design:
- Develop innovative and visually appealing landscape designs that align with client preferences, project objectives, and site conditions.
- Create conceptual sketches, renderings, and digital models to illustrate design concepts and proposals.
- Select appropriate plant species, materials, and hardscape elements to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of commercial landscapes.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles, environmental considerations, and best practices into landscape designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape designs with overall site plans and construction projects.
Client Engagement:
- Cultivate positive relationships with commercial clients by actively listening to their needs, preferences, and feedback.
- Present design concepts, proposals, and cost estimates to clients in a clear and compelling manner, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Provide professional guidance and recommendations to clients regarding landscape design options, materials, and project timelines.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, requests for revisions, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering highquality landscape designs that exceed expectations and meet project objectives.
Project Coordination:
- Conduct kick off meeting with operation staff to ensure all information and expectations have been communicated.
- Conduct postproject evaluations to assess lessons learned, identify opportunities for improvement, and refine estimating and design processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in industryspecific software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and landscape design software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately interpret project requirements and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of plant materials, hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscape design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience collaborating with crossfunctional teams and external partners to deliver successful landscape projects.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, client preferences, and market dynamics.
- Professional certifications or licenses in landscape architecture, estimating, or related fields (desirable).
Pay:
$55, $70,000.00 per year
