What you will be doing

In order to ensure the protection of sensitive data, hardware elements are used as security anchors in high-security products such as passports, as well as in the Internet of Things (IoT) or in the automotive sector. The IT security experts at TÜViT test these components according to recognized international security standards and conduct the necessary penetration tests in their own hardware testing laboratory. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

You will strengthen our team in analyzing the security properties of hardware and firmware products, such as smartcards, as well as the cryptographic procedures implemented on them (e.g. AES, RSA, ECC).
You will investigate complex issues and prioritize by distinguishing between essential and less important aspects.
You will analyze products, including based on source code, to derive attack vectors and test cases.
You will measure and evaluate side-channel information (e.g. power consumption, radiation) and carry out active attacks (error induction, e.g. using lasers).
