    About Avant-garde Health

    We enable ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals and physicians to understand and improve the profitability and quality of their surgical care. We are a mission-driven business that grows out of the value-based health care research led by Michael Porter and Bob Kaplan. We have raised over $17M from General Catalyst, Fulcrum Equity Partners, Founder Collective, Tectonic Ventures, and Sparta Group. We are currently working with a number of the top ASC's and hospitals in the country and were profiled in the book, Problem Solving, published by Harvard Business Review Press.

    The Role

    We want you to join us in transforming health care delivery for decades to come. We're excited to hire a person who wants to help drive ASC sales for a health tech venture-backed startup as we continue to focus on this segment of the market. Over the past decade, the ASC market has witnessed exponential growth driven by advancements in minimally invasive procedures, increasing demand for outpatient surgeries, and cost efficiency compared to traditional hospital settings. This market will continue to grow at a rapid pace and we want to hire someone who has a passion for selling into this exciting space. This person will work closely with the VP of Sales and executive leaders on our ASC go-to-market efforts.

    You will be responsible for connecting with physicians, ASC Executives, and ASC Management Companies. This is primarily a hunter role, which involves building new relationships, representing the company at various regional and national events, utilizing your professional network in the ASC space, and working through a highly consultative sales process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Generate sales opportunities entrepreneurially with ASC facilities and ASC Management Groups.
    • Lead client engagements from prospecting to qualification and deal closure through our high-touch, consultative sales process involving physicians and administrative leaders.
    • Help us refine and further flesh out our go-to-market playbook.
    • Represent the company at trade shows (regional and national)
    • Utilize your knowledge to provide input on our business, product strategy, and direction.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree is required. A relevant advanced degree is preferred.
    • Success leading highly consultative complex sales to ASC's, preferably as a mix of software and services, and ideally involving analytics.
    • Very entrepreneurial and excited to be self-reliant working in a fast-moving startup.
    • The ideal person will have a broad network of relationships with physicians and ASC executives.
    • Creative, adaptable, and a committed learner--we are not looking for someone who feels like they already have all the answers.
