Position Summary:


As the Staff Training & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing the training needs of all new and existing division staff, collaborating with other staff or external parties as needed to develop course curriculums, defining learning objectives, planning and delivering training activities, and monitoring outcomes.

This includes evaluating training methodology and curriculum content, acting in a quality assurance role to assess training progress for staff and identify future training needs, and creating and maintaining worker instructions and procedures.

In addition, you will lead the development of new systems training for division staff, which includes participating in the development of business requirements and testing.

In this position, you will exercise considerable independent judgment in making decisions regarding the nature and content of division training programs.

In addition, you will participate in strategic planning and budget proposals for development and training initiatives. You will also assist in implementing new legislation or policies by developing effective staff training plans.

You will function as a program expert, completing research and analysis to resolve the most difficult issues raised by staff, supervisors, managers, members, and other stakeholders.

Salary Information:This position is classified as the Staff Development Program Specialist-Senior (pay schedule/range 81-03), with
a salary between $71,800 - $84,800 annually, plus excellent benefits. Pay for current and new state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire.

Job Details:


This position is eligible for hybrid remote work. ETF offers hybrid remote/office work
. If interested in remote work, this can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. The selected employee(s) must report to ETF's office on the first day of employment. In addition, the employee may need to report to ETF on short notice as operational needs require.

ETF does not sponsor work visas.

Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

A 12-month probationary is required.


Qualifications:


  • Identifying or assessing organizational training needs
  • Developing training programs using Adult Learning Theory principles
  • Delivering virtual and inperson instructorled training
  • Evaluating training programs and/or curriculums
  • Leading/overseeing the work of other trainers
  • Using data analysis to assess program effectiveness
  • Delivering blended/hybrid inperson and virtual training
  • Providing training on employee benefit programs
  • Providing training on new technology and business processes
