**Job Description**

**AECOM** is looking for a **Movable Bridge Engineer (with Railway Bridge design expertise)** to enhance the capabilities of AECOM's regional bridge team being based in AECOM's **Chicago, Ill.** **office.**

**Job Duties may include but are not limited to:**

+ Provide technical leadership and lead the movable bridge projects.

+ Serve as a technical resource to the project team and mentor young engineers.

+ Perform existing bridge inspection, and condition assessment, and develop rehabilitation strategies.

+ Ability to develop technical reports, documents, client communication and technical memoranda.

+ Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates.

+ Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **.**

+ Ability to pass MVR Check

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master's degree a plus 6+ years of experience designing and detailing bridge structures with an emphasis on movable structures.

+ SE license in the state of IL or Wisconsin or w/ ability to obtain the same in the next 2 years.

+ Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.

+ Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.

+ Project management skills, including proposal preparation.

**Additional Information**

+ Offered rate of compensation (Chicago, Ill. area only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $160,000.
