Summer Camp Counselor

We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who will engage our campers with creativity and enthusiasm to join us for the Summer Camp 2024 Season.

We are looking for fun, energetic & caring Camp Counselors who love working with children 2-8 years of age.

Camp Session July 1- August 23rd

As a
Summer Camp Counselor at an Apple Montessori School, Counselors traditionally work as a team with two other counselors and one group of children and are responsible for the health and welfare of their campers each day.

Counselors are with their group throughout the day at all of their activities, assisting the specialists and supporting and encouraging their campers.

Our Summer Camp counselors provide love, support, and encouragement as the children try new experiences, make new friends and develop independence.

As a member of our team, some of your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that all students enjoy a safe, sanitary, and enjoyable learning environment.
Maintaining accurate student records and communicating daily progress with families.
Encouraging students' positive selfimage and supports individuality, independence, and creative expression.
Modeling appropriate social behavior and engaging with students.

Requirements:

Minimum age of 1
High School Diploma or GED required
CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
A genuine love of children.
Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
Capacity to multitask and function in an everchanging environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to work all 5 days, same shift consistently.
