Working under the Virginia Department of Transporation (VDOT) our main job is safely taking care of the Virginia roadway systems through mowing, weed eating, general maintenance, ditch clearing, incident response, etc.

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Skilled Interstate Worker to join our team. As a Skilled Interstate Worker, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across state lines. This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in operating various types of trucks and trailers.


Responsibilities:

• Safely operate rolloff trucks, tractortrailers, refrigerated trailers, and flatbeds
• Load and unload goods and materials onto trucks using forklifts or manual labor
• Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
• Drive long distances to deliver goods to designated locations
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each trip Requirements:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as an interstate truck driver or similar role
• Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions
• Proficient in loading and unloading various types of freight
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of longhaul driving Note: This position requires frequent travel across state lines. Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
