Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing equipment, including dishwashers, steamers, and sanitizing machines.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation.
Scrub, scrape, and rinse food residue from dishes and utensils before loading into dishwashers.
Check and maintain water temperature and chemical levels in dishwashers to ensure effective cleaning.
Ensure the proper storage and organization of cleaned dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Assist in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, cleaning drains, and emptying trash bins.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines and report any issues with equipment or chemicals promptly.
Sort and separate recycling materials and dispose of kitchen waste in accordance with established procedures.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to support the timely flow of dishwashing operations during peak hours.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of sharp objects and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
Familiarity with industrial dishwashing equipment and knowledge of proper usage.
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift weights of up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations, including knowledge of food safety protocols.

Preferences:

Possession of a valid food handler's permit or certification.
Previous experience in a similar role in a commercial kitchen setting.
Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and hygiene practices.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 30 lbs., as well as stand extended periods of time. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling.

Pay Rate:
This is an hourly position ranging from $ $25.00 per hour. Varies based on experience.
