    Mobile Veterinary Technician

    About Frazier Mobile:

    Frazier Mobile Veterinary Services was founded in 2018 with the goal of taking on dedicated clients who needed at home care. Clients choose home care for a variety of reasons. These can be as simple as basic convenience and hectic work schedules, and extend as far as lack of transportation options, disability, and/or their pet having trouble going in clinic. In February 2020, Dr. Frazier and Rachel St George partnered to take Frazier Mobile full scale. We have been a leader in the industry ever since.

    Frazier Mobile works hand in hand with general and emergency practices in the area in order to ensure our clients receive excellent care. Our aim is to build a brand of collegiality in the pursuit of our furry friends health and their owner's best interests. Our company is a lean organization that takes pride in providing high quality personalized service to all of our patients and clients. We are looking for someone who is interested in being one of the faces of our clinic and excited to represent our brand.

    What we are looking for in a Mobile Vet Tech:

    We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Veterinary Technician who is a self-starter with a positive and optimistic attitude. In this position, you will be working directly with Dr. Frazier delivering the highest quality veterinary care to cats and dogs in their homes. You will be getting to know our clients on a personal level and represent our clinic in communications and services provided. This position requires a high level of responsibility and ownership and in return yields high rewards and provides excellent growth potential.

    Job Description and Requirements:

    · Veterinary technician / assistant experience (minimum of 1yr) or actively enrolled in a registered technician program

    · Adaptability and patience working in new environments for each appointment are a MUST. We consistently are finding ourselves working outside, inside, in cramped spaces, sometimes with inadequate lighting, you name it. We need someone with a "go with the flow" attitude who is open and excited to handle all the challenges home vet care presents

    · Excellent restraint and stress-free handling skills for animals of all breeds and temperaments

    · Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence; able to pick up quickly on queues from the doctor on what is needed to make the appointment flow as smoothly as possible from a client experience standpoint as well as a quality of care standpoint

    · Accountable, responsible individual who takes great pride and ownership in their work

    · Experienced in drawing blood and placing IV catheters preferred

    · Ability to give medications and vaccinations via all prescribed routes: PO, SC, IM, IV

    · Proficient in calculating drug dosages

    · Comfortable contacting pharmacies to request and approve prescriptions for patients

    · Willingness to restock supplies between appointments proactively

    · Technologically proficient using veterinary record software; willing to own the mobile check in process, record keeping, online invoicing and payment collection during appointments

    · Ability to lift up to 50lbs

    · Takes pride in a job well done

    Qualifications and experience preferred but not required include:

    · Licensed RVT or active enrollment in a program

    · Reception and/or customer service experience

    · Current veterinary medicine student or considering pursuing a career as a veterinarian

    Job Type:

    Part-time, 1 full work day per week (Wednesdays) 9:30am – 6:30pm

    Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, at least some technician experience or current technician program enrollment required
