Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients.

Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and providing general animal care.

Duties:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
• Take and develop Xrays
• Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
• Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
• Assist with animal handling, restraint, and grooming
• Perform animal catheterization when necessary

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology
• Experience in pet care, including dog handling and pet grooming
• Proficient in performing Xrays and using radiology equipment
• Familiarity with aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
• Excellent animal handling skills to ensure the safety of both animals and staff members

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a veterinary technician program preferred
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician is a plus
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is highly desirable

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour
