WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


The ideal Security Manager for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests.

The successful team member will be able to motivate their team to provide a memorable and safe environment and experience for our guests and team members and foster the Bear Creek culture.

This position will be an important member of the Security team, providing support and expertise to our managers and front-line team.

The right person will partner with the departments across the resort and create and maintain a safe and secure environment and protect the property, personnel and assets.


WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:


  • Provide and promote a safe, secure and enjoyable environment and experience for our guests and team members
  • Demonstrate expertise and serve as a knowledgeable resource related to Emergency Response, Security and Safety Protocols/Policies/Guidelines, Preparedness Measures, etc.
  • Develop and monitor the resort's security and safety related policies and procedures
  • Maintain departmental records including Incident Reports in One Risk
  • Patrol entire resort area, inside and outside, as scheduled
  • Hire, train and develop security team members
  • Prepare daily work assignments for security team members
  • Delegate work as appropriate, providing clear objectives, timeline requirements and constructive feedback
  • Monitor and evaluate employees' successful completion of work
  • Effectively manage and motivate staff through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, regular team meetings, professional development and appropriate performance management
  • Encourage effective teamwork
  • Lead by example, be a positive example for team in action and attitude
  • Schedule and maintain staff to ensure appropriate 24/7 coverage of property
  • Conduct security and preparedness training as needed for various resort team members
  • Manage department budget and assigned projects, submit biweekly payroll
  • Develop and adhere to annual action plan / capital project list
  • Work collaboratively with others to analyze and continually improve work processes
  • Have a disaster recovery system in place and in use
  • Complete detailed and updated reports for meetings as needed
  • Monitor the resort's surveillance cameras and CCTV as needed
  • Be able to perform the job responsibilities of a security team member
  • Assist with special events: patrol resort, monitor parking and security issues, check entry points for wristbands and IDs, and provide crowd control as required
  • Assist Facilities Maintenance department, when no coverage, to reset fire panels / alarms, contact control centers and conduct water/boiler room meter checks as needed
  • Provide on mountain assistance as needed
  • Conduct property sweeps of stairwells, fire exits, and mechanical rooms in case of emergency
  • Conduct investigations for any suspected or known theft or other violations
  • Assist in accident investigations
  • Contact police and assist with police investigations as needed

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:

  • Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
  • Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
  • Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
  • Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

  • Comply with Bear Creek and Southern Management's policies and procedures

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 35 years demonstrated security department experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
  • 3 years leadership experience in a security related role
  • Demonstrated security/safety administration and protocol knowledge
  • CPR/FIRST AID/AED Certified
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Availability during peak operating times, i

nights, weekends, holidays and special events
